Two days before flight.I will be flying off to a place where I'll be watching a live show, visiting a Grand Palace and Reclining Buddha, riding an elephant and shopping at a night market.

Whoever thought about rolling clothes when packing is a life-saver. All my clothes fit already inside half of my luggage bag. The other half is for all the conference materials my team would require us to carry. You can also see my Fitnesse cereal as provided by my guy to get me through mornings without breakfast.

I'd be doing a more detailed "what's in my luggage" post probably when I get to the hotel and have free time.

Bangkok! What to see?

Tips on Seat Sales:
1. Best way to know there's a seat sale is through Twitter. Follow those airline accounts to score those cheap flights! @cebupacificair @flyPAL @ZestAirZ2 @airphilexpress @AirAsia
2. Have a ready list of places you want to visit on-hand. Seats are being booked as you ponder where to go. Also, you and your companions can share scouting the dates and flights for different locations you all want to visit. Makes it easier than deciding on-hand where you want to go. Saves you time and regret (for not getting the flight). 
3. Know the taxes included. Your base fare does not translate to your total airfare. Review every detail. You might end up paying so much because of the baggage costs, travel insurance, donations, etc. In short, thread slowly but surely.
4. (as informed by my friend), Cebu Pacific tends to overbook their flights by 20%. So make sure once you've booked yourself, arrive early at the airport to check-in.
5. Sometimes, impulsiveness can take you places. So if you have the money, then book a weekend at an unfamiliar place and discover something new.

Sunday morning started out with a little rain followed by a rainbow. We took this as a sign that it's the perfect time to visit Camiguin's white island. It was just a ten-minute boat ride from Paras Beach Resort.

The sand was out of corals so it's not exactly as fine as the sands of Boracay. Some parts are rocky but the place is ideal for taking a lot of photos.


You're surrounded by mountains. You would actually feel isolated as there are no trees. It's plain sand and rocks.
The morning was all about taking photos because my friends missed the beach so much. It was also coupled with some minutes of snorkeling. We couldn't walk to the other part of the island where there were starfishes because it just rained and the waves were high and strong.

 I entertained myself by eating a sea urchin which basically tasted like the sea. It only costs P10.00 so there was no harm in trying (unless you have a very delicate stomach or hates seafood).

I loved the peacefulness and solitude that the white island brings. Just don't forget to tell your boat man what time you'll be picked up. Just a note: two hours isn't enough for me on this island even though it's just small.

I first packed my red notebook during our trip to Boracay. I wanted it to be one of my new travel companions. I've always wanted to have an affair with this legendary notebook. So I placed it at the side of my backpack and rode the plane.



Its convenience is undeniable. Those blank pages can easily be filled with trip facts, doodles and thoughts. Its elastic closure guarantees those tickets and receipts wont be falling out.  Its expandable inner pocket can keep your plane tickets, extra money and those sentimental things you want to bring home. It's a great alternative for your emergency wallet. Who would want to steal a notebook?


The color red stands out in my bag. For those who want to be discreet, you can always opt to buy the black version. After taking it with me for the past three trips, I can already consider it as one of my essential travel companions.

I know it's an expensive notebook and I got mine as a gift but I wouldn't mind purchasing another one in the future. No wonder it's a legendary notebook. I think I'll purchase one of those city notebooks next time.
